“A golf architect must be, first of all, a keen student of the game, thoroughly understanding its every phase and requirement. Besides this, two qualities are indispensable: an artistic temperament and a sound scientific education."

At the age of ten, my parents took my brother and me to a summer golf camp near our home. From that moment, golf became an integral part of my life, and I never stopped hitting balls.
I competed in golf at an amateur level until I was 20, achieving a handicap of -2 and participating in numerous national and international championships. After earning my degree in Architecture in Rome, I combined my two great passions by studying golf course architecture.
At 24, I stepped onto my first golf construction site working for Tom Doak, widely recognized as the best living golf course architect. This project was St. Patrick’s Links in Northern Ireland, now ranked #49 among the world’s top courses.
During this formative period, I deepened my understanding of the inseparable link between the design and construction of a golf course, learning to personally shape greens, tees, and bunkers with excavators and bulldozers, designing new course layouts on paper, and traveling to study the best golf courses worldwide.
I currently work independently on design and shaping projects, while continuing to collaborate with Doak and Renaissance Golf Design.
